A one-year maternity cover, joining the team delivering University transition activities, this role is key in the delivery of the first year of our integrated Future Skills programme, Navigate. Working alongside a colleague in a similar role, you will be designing and delivering a range of sessions, activities and resources that help students transition into and through higher education, develop a foundational knowledge of the Kingston graduate attributes, understand themselves better and prepare for further stages of the Future Skills programme. Additionally, it will support with the planning and delivery of other key transition-focused deliverables.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an energetic and highly capable self-starter who can quickly establish themselves as a trusted and credible member of the team. An exceptional and dynamic presenter, they will be confident engaging large and diverse student audiences, bringing enthusiasm, authenticity and creativity to every interaction. They will be skilled at creating inclusive and impactful learning experiences, tailoring the content to different student needs and contexts, while making effective use of contemporary teaching approaches. Highly adaptable, they will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining high standards and taking ownership of their work with minimal supervision.

Directorate/Function

The Students’ Directorate key aim within the strategy is to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for all current and future students to ensure they are “sought after”, supporting their participation, attainment, and success before, during and after their time at Kingston. This in turn will create a culture of high performance that is inclusive, innovative, ambitious and enterprising.

This is a full time, one-year maternity cover position ideally starting in October/November 2026, with a starting salary of £39,407 per annum.

This post is available to cover maternity leave and is expected to be held for the full duration. However, should the substantive post-holder choose to return to work earlier, this appointment may be terminated, subject to a one-month notice period.
