The print room provides fast and confidential print and finishing services to colleagues around the University. This part-time, annualised hours role is primarily to support the current full-time technician in delivering these services especially in peak production periods and to provide cover for annual leave.

The Person

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on and organised individual to join our internal Print Room. You would be supporting our busy print and finishing team offering a fast, secure and confidential service, accepting job requests in various formats and ensuring all job submissions adhere to the University’s brand guidelines. You will need to be able to communicate clearly with internal customers, offer advice and suggest appropriate solutions to meet their needs and ensure that they are advised on progress and delivery. You will be a team player but able to work independently to tight deadlines.

Directorate/Function

The Directorate’s main function is to support student recruitment and course marketing, protect and enhance the University's reputation and devise and implement activity in international markets.

Our staff act as the University’s ambassadors and have a high service ethic. We are receptive to new ideas, identify opportunities for innovation and see change as an opportunity. As part of our commitment to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, we seek, provide and value constructive feedback from colleagues and – in turn – develop and share good practice across the University.

Further information

This is a 0.5 part-time, annualised hours fixed-term position for 12 months with a starting salary of £29,071 per annum (pro rata for part-time).

Interviews are scheduled to be held in person on week commencing, Monday, 4th August 2025.

For informal enquiries, please contact David Wood, Design and Publications manager.
