We are currently seeking a Photographic Studio Technician who has extensive experience of a wide range of professional equipment using both analogue and digital equipment and confident in providing learning support and training.

You will be reporting to the Photography Workshop Manager, fulfilling a range of duties that include the responsibility of managing and supporting the running of our Studios - assisting students with booking, discussing ideas, lighting setups and daily maintenance of the studio areas.

The Person

You will be working in our new photographic studios at Kingston School of Art as part of a team of staff to ensure the provision of quality learning support to staff and students on a daily basis.

The Faculty

Kingston School of Art (KSA) has a strong heritage. Since its origins in the late nineteenth century KSA established an exceptional reputation, becoming one of the UK’s leading Faculties of art, architecture and design. KSA is now a comprehensive provider of art, design, architecture, humanities, and performing arts education and research. KSA’s strength is reflected by the influence of its globally distributed and celebrated alumni, its subject rankings, research performance, industry and student awards, and the leading brands and institutions that have chosen to work it.

KSA combines a dedication to creative risk-taking, innovation and experimentation with a commitment to working with its numerous local, national and global partners and collaborators to lead and shape the future of the creative and cultural industries. The Faculty attracts high quality teachers and researchers and boasts impressive technical resources. As a Faculty within a university that also embraces the areas of health, business, science, engineering and the social sciences, it combines the benefits of having its own arts and humanities identity with an ability to be at the forefront of exciting cross-disciplinary developments.

In the top five per cent of the world for art and design education, and very highly ranked for Journalism, English and Philosophy, KSA is on an exciting journey. The University is currently completing a strategic plan to take the institution through the next three years and beyond, and in line with this at KSA we are actively planning for future success.
