Working as part of a team of marketing advisors, the post holder will research, plan and manage marketing projects, processes and campaigns in order to support the University meeting its student recruitment targets.

The post holder will lead on assigned projects, including the planning and production of marketing campaigns and the production, curation and distribution of publications and content across digital and traditional channels. They will develop expert knowledge of Kingston’s brand positioning, value proposition and target audiences, as well as the undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment cycles.

The Person

The team’s primary objectives are to maximise lead generation to achieve agreed student recruitment targets and good ROI. This involves, but is not limited to: 

  • Managing the working relationships with our media buying agency and leading on the development of creative and campaign briefs, media buying and media production.
  • Developing an engaging user experience that aligns to target audience needs and motivations, is informed by customer insight and is on time and within budget.
  • Evaluating and tracking campaign effectiveness and developing KPIs that align to and support delivery of the above objectives.
  • Coordinating the production and commissioning of content, including print, digital, out of home and rich media, ensuring all creative and content meets brand identity guidelines and institutional tone of voice.

General 

Due to the cyclical nature of the Student Recruitment and Admissions, all roles within the department will require flexibility, requiring staff to work evenings and/or weekends on occasions; there may also be some restrictions on the timing of annual leave.

This is a full-time permanent position with a starting salary of £38,613 per annum.
