Library Assistant
As a Library assistant you will be working within the Collections team as part of Library and Learning Services, to support the delivery of library services to users and the functional operation of the library.
The role provides support for a range of areas including the acquisition and maintenance of library stock, delivery of the interlibrary loans service and the administration of subscriptions for electronic resources. The role holder will also contribute to the operation of the University Archive and the supervision of specialist collections.
The Person
We are searching for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and with the ability to work independently. You will have both a keen attention to detail and strong organisation skills. You should be able to communicate effectively with a range of users and external partners and you will need to have a good standard of IT literacy and sound numerical skills. Knowledge and experience of working in an academic library would be desirable but not essential.

Library and Learning Services help deliver high quality learning resources and services to Kingston University staff and students.

This is a part-time, fixed term position for 12 months working 18.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of £14,385.50 per annum (50% pro rata to £28,771 per annum).
