Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Midwifery x2

We are seeking dynamic and innovative professionals to join our midwifery academic team. The successful candidates will play a key role in enhancing interprofessional collaboration and contributing to our mission of providing holistic education and support.
You will be expected to support us in delivering Kingston University's Town House Strategy,contribute to the department’s teaching and learning portfolio, and deliver our wide-ranging education provision.

The Person
The Department of Midwifery is looking to appoint a full-time member of staff at the Lecturer /Senior Lecturer level (dependent upon experience). The successful applicant will provide students with the teaching and support they need to get the very most from their education. The role will also involve working closely with clinical placement providers, participating in the ongoing development of our midwifery programmes, and supporting the development of simulated and skills teaching. Conducting research and scholarly activity is essential in ensuring that these programmes continually reflect the evolving needs of the healthcare sector and best practices, as well as influencing national and global policy development and strategy.
Applicants must meet Kingston University’s learning and teaching standards. By the end of probation, you must achieve the relevant UKPSF recognition if not already obtained—either through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching programme for new lecturers or the Kingston Academic Practice Standards framework for experienced educators.

There are two part time (29.60 hours per week and 22.20 hours per week), permanent positions available with a starting salary of £44,404 per annum (pro rata) for Lecturer and £49,468 per annum (pro rata) for Senior Lecturer, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
