We are seeking a Graduations & Award Documents Co-ordinator to provide excellent and efficient administration across our award documents service. The post holder will be responsible for providing an effective service to students, staff, collaborative partners, alumni and third parties in the UK and internationally.

You will be responsible for maintaining our various noticeboards covering enquiries and orders and will be required to keep within our service level agreements for response times. You will also provide support to the Assistant Registrar (Graduations and Awards) during the graduation periods, assisting in the production, checking and sorting of graduation documentation and supporting on the day at graduation ceremonies.

As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the overall smooth running of the department, providing excellent administrative support, working flexibly when necessary and covering absence within the team when required.

The Person

We are looking for a professional and proactive team player. You will be working in a welcoming environment within a small and supportive team based within Academic Registry.

With proven administrative experience, you will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication,  good attention to detail and a positive approach to your work. The ability to manage workloads effectively and provide accurate information and documentation is essential.

Whilst knowledge of SITS is not essential, the ability to learn new systems and databases is important.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being on campus 2 days a week.

Directorate/Function

The Academic Services Directorate includes Research & Impact, Knowledge Exchange, Academic Registry, Quality Assurance and Enhancement, the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre, Brand, Communications and Public Affairs and Development, Alumni Relations & Engagement (DARE). Collectively the Directorate supports academics in their research and KE activities and supports some of the University’s governance and decision-making committees, maintains academic regulations, develops and implements academic policies, oversees the quality and standards of academic provision and leads the development of education practices across the University.

The Directorate is responsible for stimulating cutting edge research, impact and knowledge exchange and supporting a vibrant community of graduate research students, to increase the volume, impact and visibility of our research and business activities. We actively liaise with Faculties and researchers to support and develop research activities across all disciplines and provide related training and development opportunities. We foster interdisciplinary working to promote, advance and share knowledge with the overall aim of securing new revenue sources and contributing to regional prosperity. Our goal is to foster and sustain a vibrant research culture in which our researchers and research students can flourish.

As a directorate, we identify opportunities for innovation, see change as an opportunity, value constructive feedback and share good practice across the University.

This is a part time (22.20 hours per week), fixed term position for 2 years with a starting salary of £20,404.20 per annum (60% pro rata to £34,007 per annum).
