Faculty Support Administrator
We are seeking a Faculty Support Administrator to provide excellent, effective and efficient administration to one of the Schools and Departments within the Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and the Environment. The postholder will be responsible for providing proactive diary management support to one of the Heads of School and delivering effective administrative assistance to the academic and senior leadership team. Previous experience of diary management is essential as well as good working knowledge of administrative procedures.
You will provide electronic diary management for the Head of School, deal with associated arrangements, setting up, scheduling and prioritising appointments, meetings, and visits accordingly. You will also provide highly effective customer support to staff in the faculty, whilst coordinating a variety of functions and be able to work flexibly as part of the operations support team.
A key member of the Faculty Office you will contribute to the overall smooth running of the faculty by providing exceptional administrative support. The role will provide a highly efficient and effective administrative and support service to the faculty leadership team, Heads of School, and covering for absent team members when required.
The Person
We are looking for a professional, self-motivated, and excellent team player. You will be working in an inclusive environment alongside a small team that supports one another through the day to day running of the faculty office.
You will have excellent communications skills, attention to detail, and a confident and proactive approach to your work. The ability to build good working relationships across the faculty and university is essential, and listening effectively and responding sensitively to others is important.
Please note this is an office-based role and not hybrid, and you will be based across two campuses, Penrhyn Road and Roehampton Vale, so please consider this when applying for the role that you will be required to be in the office full time.
The Faculty
There are few faculties across the UK university landscape as varied in their scope as the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & the Environment (ECE). We teach and research across a wide range of subjects, allowing for real cross-discipline innovation and creativity. Our lecturers are experts – working at the forefront of their fields and actively engaged in research so they can bring advanced knowledge to their teaching. Our state-of-the-art facilities include specialist laboratories, a public outreach centre, a specialist virtual reality centre, a rocket lab, flight simulators, renewable energy lab, and 3 new labs related to electric, electronic and robotics engineering, as well as an advanced design studio.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £29,478 per annum.
