Degree Apprenticeships Data Assistant x2
As a member of the Degree Apprenticeship Team at Kingston University, the role of Data Assistant is varied and complex as well as rewarding and fulfilling. We are looking for individuals with a range of administrative, compliance and data management skills, preferably gained within the Apprenticeship sector to join an expanding team at an exciting time in the University.
The postholder will be required to undertake varied tasks covering data collection, recording, and analysis, maintaining high data accuracy and supporting other general day-to-day administrative processes within the Central Apprenticeships Team. In addition, this includes enquiry handling, customer service, and employer liaison. You will be working on several data systems to complete processes, complying with GDPR, regulatory requirements and University policies.
You will have a wide range of internal and external stakeholders who require different levels of support and relationship building is integral to the success of this role.
The Person
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Degree Apprenticeship Team, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. This is a combined role of both administration and compliance; experience in the Apprenticeship sector would be most advantageous.
You must be able to create data reports for specified activities to support compliance with Degree Apprenticeship processes. Able to undertake analysis of data, identifying errors on digital reporting systems, and support and follow up on communications with apprentices and faculty staff when compliance data is incomplete applying a high level of customer service at all times.
Working closely with Degree Apprenticeships Assistants to prepare contracts and provide general administrative support with a high level of customer service. You will be required to respond swiftly and effectively to Apprenticeship-related queries. A flexible approach to project involvement and a proactive attitude to supporting colleagues at busy times and in cases of absence, by undertaking such duties and responsibilities which are commensurate with the grade and nature of the post.
Directorate/Function
The Academic Services Directorate includes Research & Impact, Knowledge Exchange, Academic Registry, Quality Assurance and Enhancement, the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre and Brand, Communications and Public Affairs. Collectively the Directorate supports academics in their research and KE activities and supports some of the University’s governance and decision-making committees, maintains academic regulations, develops and implements academic policies, oversees the quality and standards of academic provision and leads the development of education practices across the University.
The Directorate is responsible for stimulating cutting edge research, impact and knowledge exchange and supporting a vibrant community of graduate research students, to increase the volume, impact and visibility of our research and business activities. We actively liaise with Faculties and researchers to support and develop research activities across all disciplines and provide related training and development opportunities. We foster interdisciplinary working to promote, advance and share knowledge with the overall aim of securing new revenue sources and contributing to regional prosperity. Our goal is to foster and sustain a vibrant research culture in which our researchers and research students can flourish.
