As Course and Student Administration Team Leader, the postholder will have a key role in managing highly effective course and student support for a range of programmes in the Course and Student Administration Team (CSA), within Student Services. As team leader and line-manager, you will implement and maintain the service provision of the Course and Student Administration team for a suite of courses, from enrolment to graduation. You will manage a student-focused support service, ensuring a responsive and adaptable approach to course and student administration. You will also be responsible for consistently maintaining high-quality professional support, working in partnership with academic colleagues and other key stakeholders. This role will also be expected to support and promote a culture of continuous improvement in service excellence aligned to strategic goals.

This role is also available as a fixed-term secondment for suitable internal candidates.

The Person

A highly organised and self-motivated individual and an experienced higher education administrator with a strong attention to detail, you will be innovative and a good team-player.  Educated to degree level or equivalent and with advanced proficiency in the use of IT technology and of maintaining a high level of data integrity, you will also have experience of managing or supervising a professional support office within a Further or Higher education setting.  You will be committed to providing the highest quality service to internal and external colleagues and partners, always aiming towards the improvement of processes and driving up service standards. Working enthusiastically and with creativity, you will be able to analyse problems and develop innovative and workable solutions.

This Directorate plays a vital role in the retention and success of students at Kingston University. By taking a holistic, cohesive approach to the effective provision of services to our 17,000 students, we aim to enhance their experience through support that is effective and also responsive to their changing needs.

We cover three main areas of responsibility – Student Life, Student Wellbeing and the First Response and Administration team.

Student Life provides the University’s fundamental student services while Student Wellbeing is responsible for all wellbeing and safeguarding-related policies. The First Response and Administration Team, meanwhile, ensures the smooth running of all activities.

This is a full-time position fixed-term for 12 months with a starting salary of £37,646 per annum.
